The Soul of the Honest Hand.

Every PieCraft rug is a slow-made conversation between tradition and the contemporary home.

What we believe

Three things we never compromise on

Slow made

Slow made

Each rug takes weeks, sometimes months, to complete. Speed has no place in our process.

Honest materials

Honest materials

New Zealand wool and wool blends, with bamboo silk (viscose) for sheen. We name every fibre honestly.

Made by artisans

Made by artisans

We work with artisan families in and around Bhadohi, India’s rug-weaving heartland, keeping their craft alive.

Our heritage

Where Every Knot Tells a Story.

Our journey began with a singular vision: to preserve the quiet, patient discipline of rural weaving traditions and bring them into the world's most discerning homes. Today, our rugs are crafted in Bhadohi alongside generational artisan families who treat every inch of yarn with sacred respect. We reject mass production in favor of the rhythm of the loom, the tactility of natural wool, and the pride that only comes from knowing a piece was crafted by human hands.

The making process

Crafted with patience

Sourcing a handmade rug
01

Sourcing

We choose long-staple New Zealand wool, blended where a design needs it, and bamboo silk (viscose) for highlights, then dye the yarn to each design.

Weaving a handmade rug
02

Weaving

Each rug is hand-tufted or hand-knotted by our artisans using techniques passed down through generations. There is no shortcut to this kind of beauty.

Finishing a handmade rug
03

Finishing

Every rug is washed, sheared, carved and checked by hand before it leaves the workshop. Quality control is the culture of our workshop, not a department.

Our commitment

Our Commitment to the Craft.

Responsible craft is at the heart of what we do. We use long-staple New Zealand wool and water-safe dyes, making each rug to order so there is zero excess inventory or waste. We work directly with master artisans in Bhadohi, upholding fair, respectful partnerships that celebrate and sustain generational craft.

“A rug should outlive the trend it was bought in.”
